Upon arrival at Banda Aceh Airport, our designated driver holding a sign displaying “The Pade Dive Resort”will be waiting to welcome you. The journey from the airport to the harbour takes approximately 30 minutes. You will then board a 45 minute ferry crossing from Banda Aceh to Pulau Weh, followed by a one hour scenic drive from the harbor to the resort. All transfers are smoothly coordinated by our team to ensure a comfortable and seamless travel experience from the mainland to your island retreat at The Pade Dive Resort.

Our best diving seasons are from October to December and April to July During these months, the sea is calmer and visibility is at its best often over 20 meters. However, Pulau Weh is a year round diving destination, so you can still dive outside those months. The only difference is that the wind can be a bit stronger, which sometimes makes the surface slightly wavier

Yes. Pulau Weh has a local hospital that provides basic medical care and emergency services. In addition, there is a hyperbaric chamber on the island for diving related emergencies, ensuring safety for divers. We recommend DAN insurance, you will need to purchase according to your country of residence.

We typically conduct 2 to 3 dives per day, depending on sea conditions. Our team will always plan the day’s schedule with safety, comfort, and ocean conditions in mind to ensure you enjoy the best possible diving experience in Pulau Weh.

Is diving regulated by any particular guidelines? +

Divers must stay within the depth limits and conditions appropriate for their certification level. Our dives typically range between 15–30 meters, and we require all guests to remain close to their dive guide and buddy throughout every dive. All dives are conducted strictly as no-decompression dives, and solo diving is not permitted. Do you provide rental dive equipment? +

Yes, we provide a selection of dive equipment for rent. Because availability is limited, we kindly ask guests to inform us in advance if they require rental gear. We offer items such as BCDs, regulators, dive computers, torches, SMBs, hooks, masks, snorkels, fins, and booties. For comfort and proper fit, we recommend divers bring their own wetsuit and mask whenever possible.

Are your cylinders equipped with INT or DIN valves? +

Our cylinders are compatible with both DIN and INT regulators. They are equipped with convertible valves, allowing us to switch between DIN and INT as needed, so you can safely use whichever connection your regulator requires.

Is spearfishing allowed in Pulau Weh? +

Pulau Weh is part of a protected marine area, and we strictly follow local conservation regulations. To help preserve the health of our reefs and marine life, guests are kindly requested not to spearfish in the waters surrounding the island or the resort.
